Microloan Client Story

Boys and Girls Club

Hayes Valley, San Francisco

Amount Financed: $11.5 Million

Children and teens in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley will have a new, safe place to play and learn. Opportunity Fund invested $11.5 million in the construction of the new Don Fisher Clubhouse for the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco.

More than 200 children and teens will visit the new Clubhouse on Fulton Street each day. "In order to get ahead, we know kids need to grow up in a safe environment rich with opportunity. That’s why Opportunity Fund is so proud to invest in this new Clubhouse," said CEO Eric Weaver.

Opportunity Fund shifted our real estate lending to focus on neighborhood facilities—like the Don Fisher Clubhouse—that provide critical services in distressed communities.
