Living in Delmas Park gives me the opportunity to take care of myself and not rely on someone else. Because my rent is manageable, I can put money aside for my future. And my daughter lives in a good area with no bad influences and goes to a good school down the block that she loves.

It’s the best feeling I’ve had in a long time. I feel like I can do anything. Anything.

I think more developments like Delmas Park should be built — a solid home like this gives people the chance to realize that they can take care of themselves, that they don’t have to worry about getting pushed out of a building they can’t afford after moving in.

As a single mom, I’ve learned that to succeed you have to have a good attitude, be positive, and not be afraid to get help when you need it. Just because you get help doesn’t mean you have to stay on it forever and it doesn’t take away from who you are. You have to be strong and have faith. I love it here.
