Kiva Launches with Opportunity Fund in US
In 2009, Opportunity Fund was selected by Kiva as one of two partners to bring Kiva’s innovative social lending platform to small business owners in the United States. Until this year, Kiva.org provided a portal for person-to-person lending exclusively to the developing world; now, through the partnership with Opportunity Fund, individuals are able to lend directly to small businesses in the Bay Area.
